Our Mission

El-Shaddai Tamil Family Church is as an independent, non denominational body of believers established upon the teachings of the Jesus and Apostles as many  relate to as, “The New Testament Doctrine. We in El-Shaddai Tamil Family Church identify our faith with the same faith of the early church established on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and to promote the kingdom of God with Tamil expatriates living in Auckland region of New Zealand.

Our Key Principles

Tent Making Ministry

The term “Tent Making” refers to the apostle Paul’s practice of making tents to support himself while being an evangelist. A tentmaker does not take any benefit – monetary or otherwise from the church. Their work for a “secular” employer provides for their living needs and gives them access to people they normally would otherwise not be able to touch. At El-Shaddai, there are no employees that take salaries or any benefits from the Church.  The Church functions under a “volunteer” model.  All of us that volunteer in El-Shaddai have our own secular jobs that pays for our families’ needs.  Which means, 100% of the income received from the Church via tithes and offerings goes back to the community via missions support.

Youth Empowerment

We live in a Western society which is quite different from our Tamil culture.  We treasure our Tamil culture which is unique – We realize it is quite important that our children, youth and young adults that grow up in this country not only follow Christ faithfully, but also adopt our Tamil culture. We have a specific youth worship service on Fridays between 7 and 8:30 pm.  Our youth also are very actively involved in our Sunday worship services.

Missions Support

Even though we do not deserve it, God hasblessed us all immensely in this country of New Zealand.  It is very imperative that we remain thankfulto the Lord for all His blessings.AtEl-Shaddai we have a separate wing called the “The Missions Ministry” that takescare of all the Missionary Support and Evangalism related activities. True tothe Word, we support missions predominantly in India and Sri Lanka, but also inother countries including Pakistan

Sacrificial death

The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and sinlessly perfect. His sacrificial death on the cross is substitutionary and representative. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended to his Father’s right hand, where he now ministers a sour Great High Priest. He will come again to receive his own unto himself and to reign in power and glory for all eternity.

Salvation

Every man, woman, and child is created by God in God’s image, as either male or female. Therefore, each person, from conception to death—whether male or female, of every race, ethnicity, age, and ability—has intrinsic dignity and value, and should not be subject to discrimination or exploitation. Each member of the human race is fallen, sinful and lost, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ, and salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The eternal life

Every true child of God possesses eternal life and—being justified, sanctified, and sealed with the Holy Spirit—is safe and secure for alleternity. However, a Christian can, through sin, lose his fellowship, joy, power, testimony, and reward; and can incur the Father’s discipline. The believer’s relationship with God is eternal, being established by new birth; daily fellowship, however, is dependent upon obedience.
